About Clint Randles
He is an expert on "Progressive Music Education Methods" and is an iBand performer. I've provided a link to his website, along with a couple of his recent articles. These are about his education theory based on the development of the individual, and incorporating composing in the classroom.
His research interests include the intersection of motivation theory and creativity, and exploration of the construct “creative identity.” Randles has presented papers at state, national, and international conferences in the US, Canada, Egypt, Finland, China, and England. He has articles published in numerous research journals and is a frequent contributing author. Randles has formed two book series, Musicianship through GIA Publishing (Chicago) and Routledge Studies in Music Education with Routledge (New York) to assist the music profession in realizing expanded curricular possibilities on a large scale. Prior to his appointment at USF, Dr. Randles taught general music and band in the public schools of Michigan for nine years. He has written arrangements and original compositions that have been performed by both marching bands and children’s choruses. He currently enjoys performing with the USF iPad Quintet, Touch, playing guitar in a Tampa Bay area praise band, and performing with his rock n’ roll band, Nameless Johnny.
